810 – Testing and Assessment in Education

Course Description: Despite the call for using assessment to promote effective learning, most teachers remain underprepared to conduct classroom-based formative assessment and interpret the summative assessment information for improving instruction as well as learning. Throughout the course, general testing and assessment topics are revisited, extended, interwoven and deconstructed, with the participants’ understanding strengthened by tasks and follow-up questions.   Prerequisites:     Aims:     Requirements for a Certificate: Minimum attendance requirement is 75% of course events.
